Description
This dataset contains whole rock major and trace element concentrations for 35 lunar impact melt rocks and impact melt breccias from the Apollo 14, 16, 17 landing sites. It contains argon isotopic data (where possible with determined dates) for a subset (24) of the analysed samples. In most cases argon isotopic data were obtained on particles from the same sample split for which major and trace element data were obtained. Short descriptions and sketches of the particles for which Ar isotopic data were obtained are also included. The purpose of the dataset is to document characteristics that allow relationships between age and composition of Apollo melt rocks and melt breccias to be investigated.
