Noble gas He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe elemental and isotopic analysis of aggregate sample OREX-800032-105

Author

Bernard Marty

Description

We report the all noble gas (He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe) analysis of single grain OREX-800032-105 by static mass spectrometry done in the noble gas laboratory of CRPG-CNRS, Nancy France. The grain was sequentially heated under static vacuum using a CO2 laser and evolved noble gases were analyzed with our Helix MC (Thermo) static mass spectrometer. For each incremental heating step, gases are purified over Ti sponge getter, cryogenically separated and sequentially analyzed for abundances and isotopic ratios. Results show carbonaceous chondrite type noble gases of the CI type. Computed cosmogenic ages are a few Ma.
