Description

This bundle contains data from the EA-IRMS analysis of Bennu aggregate sample OREX-803431-0, a scoop of unsorted, unprocessed material taken from parent sample OREX-800127-0. Split OREX-803431-100, created by Chris House, represents a few small grains removed from OREX-803431-0 that were placed on a mount for complementary SIMS data. This EA-IRMS collection includes 1 dummy standard, 8 blanks, 22 standards, and 2 Bennu samples. Each analysis produced 2 raw sample analysis files (.csv, containing time and intensity data for gas chromatogram), one for nitrogen and one for carbon. An additional .csv file contains the exported data for the sequence, including all samples, standards, and blanks. For a total of 67 files. The bundle also includes information on sample preparation and analytical methods. The purpose of this dataset was to measure the carbon and nitrogen isotope values (and calculate the amount of carbon and nitrogen) in this Bennu aggregate sample.
