Chemical composition of Bennu samples

Author

Description

This dataset shows the chemical composition of the Orgueil CI chondrite and five Bennu particles, named OREX-803048-0, OREX-803049-0, OREX-803050-0, OREX-803051-0 and OREX-803052-0, from aggregate sample OREX-803014-0 that were dissolved for cosmogenic radionuclide analysis. A small aliquot (~7%) of each of the dissolved samples was taken for chemical analysis by ICP-OES. In addition, we also measured Fe and Co in the last fraction (0.5N HCl) of the first anion column. This fraction represents ~93% of the dissolved sample, so yields a better measurement for Co.
