Description
Triple oxygen isotope analysis data for four fine magnesite and four fine dolomite particles in OREX-803057-0 via CAMECA IMS 1300-HR3 instrument, the John de Laeter Centre, Curtin University, Western Australia. Petrographic context for SIMS analyses provided in terms of crystallographic microstructures identified via electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) mapping and compositional zones identified via energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) mapping and spot analysis (with methods described herein and raw data provided in separate data bundles). The effect of mineral chemistry on the bias of SIMS δ18O determinations (“matrix effect”) was estimated following procedures detailed in Sliwinski et al. (2016, GGR) using the Fe# of minerals obtained via EDS spot measurements.
