NanoSIMS O isotopic analysis of dolomite grains in the Angular Stone of Interest sample OREX-800055-17

Author

Ian Franchi

Description

The angular lithology SoI contains multiple forms of dolomite grains, including large grains, dispersed small isolated grains and dolomite-rich lozenge shaped regions. Some of the grains show complex internal structure revealed by cathodeluminesence. O-isotope measurements by NanoSIMS will provide insight into the relationship between the fluids associated with hte alteration events that createdt hese dolomites.
