Synchrotron X-ray tomography dataset of a Bennu particle picked up from an aggregate.

Author

Akira Tsuchiyama

Description

Synchrotron radiation X-ray computed tomography (XCT) was performed at SPring-8 BL20XU at 30 keV for a Bennu particle picked up from an aggregate. This bundle includes (1) an absorption-contrast microCT data set for whole-sample three-dimensional structural characterization and (2) higher-resolution phase-contrast enhansed nanoCT data set(s) for detailed three-dimensional microstructure investigation of region(s) of interest. Instrument metadata documenting acquisition, reconstruction, and CT-value mapping parameters are provided for each dataset.
