Apollo 16 impact melt 60635,2 Major, Minor, and Trace element Mineral Chemistry For Plagioclase and Pyroxene

Authors

Amy FaganClive Neal

Description

This dataset contains major, minor, and element abundances for plagioclase and pyroxene from Apollo 16 impact melt 60635,2. Major and minor elements were quantified by electron-probe microanalysis (EPMA) using a JEOL JXA-8200 at the Washington University in St. Louis' Earth and Planetary Sciences Microanalysis Facility. Trace elements were quantified by LA-ICP-MS using a New Wave UP-213 laser ablation system and a ThermoFinnigan Element2 ICP-MS at the University of Notre Dame's Midwest Isostope and Trace Element Research Analytical Center.
